This page is for law firms and solo attorneys, especially intake-driven practices such as immigration, family law and security clearance work, that want more consultation requests from Google without paying for shared lead lists. Top Organic Leads is a Pay-Per-Lead SEO and GEO agency based in Orange, CA. We rank your website and Google Business Profile, and you pay only for the qualified leads you approve. Attorney advertising is regulated, so this page also includes a short compliance note that you should check against your own state bar's rules.
How people search for and choose a lawyer
Someone who needs a lawyer is usually dealing with something stressful or urgent: a visa, a divorce, a clearance problem, an accident. They tend to search in layers:
- Practice-area and location searches: "immigration lawyer in [city]," "family law attorney near me," "security clearance lawyer."
- Situation searches: specific questions about a process, deadline or form, often before they know they need a lawyer.
- Comparison: the map results, star ratings and review counts, attorney bios, language options, and a website that looks credible on a phone.
- Contact: a call, a form, or a message, often outside office hours.
Legal marketing is competitive and trust-heavy. Firms with long histories and large review counts dominate many local searches, which is why a specific practice-area strategy, a well-managed Google Business Profile and genuinely useful content matter more than generic "lawyer" pages.
What we do for law firms
Google Business Profile
We optimize and manage your profile so it can show in the local map results when people search for attorneys in your area. That includes verification, accurate categories and practice areas, attorney and office details, photos, questions and answers, and a compliant review process. See our Google Business Profile guides.
Practice-area pages and content
We build a dedicated page for each practice area and location you want more work in, and educational content that answers real client questions, written for accuracy and readability. Our content development work is organized by practice area and by the places you serve.
SEO and GEO
Our SEO and GEO work covers technical SEO, site structure, titles and headings, structured data, and content that AI answer features can understand. Google states that its AI features rely on the same foundations as Search: helpful, original content and accurate information. We cannot guarantee being cited.
Mobile experience, speed and conversion
Many people contact a lawyer from a phone. We work on mobile layout, fast load times and a clear path to a consultation. See mobile SEO, website speed and conversion rate optimization.
Call tracking and reporting
Every call is tracked with CallRail and every lead is visible in Despora, so you can see which pages and searches produce consultation requests.

These are individual results. They depend on the practice area, market, competition and the firm's own intake and case handling, and past results do not predict the outcome for your firm or for any client's matter.
What counts as a qualified legal lead
We agree the definition with you first. Generally it is someone who contacted you about a practice area you take, in a location you serve, with a reachable phone number or email, and who is not spam. Not qualified: wrong numbers, vendors, job seekers, people seeking a practice area you do not handle, and enquiries you cannot take. You review the leads and approve the ones that qualify. If your firm is at capacity, tell us and we will work with that.
Whether a lead becomes a client is decided by your own conflict check and intake process, which stay entirely with the firm.
Advertising and compliance note for attorneys
Lawyer advertising is governed by each state's own rules of professional conduct, and states differ. The ABA Model Rules are a common starting point:
- Rule 7.1 says a lawyer must not make false or misleading communications about the lawyer or the lawyer's services. A statement can mislead by omission, or by creating an unjustified expectation. This matters for case results, testimonials and claims such as "best" or "top."
- Rule 7.2 covers how lawyers may advertise and limits giving anything of value to someone for recommending the lawyer's services, with listed exceptions such as paying the reasonable cost of advertising. Any communication must include the name and contact information of at least one lawyer or firm responsible for its content. Rules on specialist claims also apply.
- Per-lead and referral arrangements: Some states have addressed paying per lead, referral fees and lawyer referral services in their rules or ethics opinions. Have your own state bar or ethics counsel review any pay-per-lead arrangement, including ours, before you sign.
- Reviews and testimonials: The FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials prohibits fake reviews, buying positive reviews and misleading suppression of negative ones. Client confidentiality also limits how you can respond to reviews.
- Client information: Do not reveal confidential client information in public replies or case studies without consent.
This is general information, not legal advice. Please check your own state bar's advertising rules and consult your own ethics counsel.
Common mistakes
- One generic "attorney" page rather than a page for each practice area and location
- Quoting past results or testimonials without the disclaimers your state requires
- Marketing claims such as "best lawyer" that the rules treat as potentially misleading
- A slow or hard-to-use mobile site
- Letting after-hours calls and forms go unanswered
- An unmanaged Google Business Profile, or reviews that are not answered carefully
Realistic timeline and expectations
SEO takes time. The first weeks go to tracking, the profile and site structure, and visibility usually builds over several months, longer in competitive metro legal markets. We do not guarantee first-page rankings or a number one position. We do offer a 45-day performance guarantee: if we do not measurably increase qualified inbound leads within 45 days, you receive a 100% refund.
How billing works
We charge a flat $250/month platform fee, which covers CallRail call tracking, Despora lead attribution and hosting. You pay only for the qualified leads you approve, invoiced at the end of each month. We take no percentage of your revenue or case fees.
FAQs
Do you only work with immigration and family law?
No. Those are the published case studies. Intake-driven practices can fit if the Google Business Profile and the firm's intake process are strong.
Will you guarantee first-page rankings for "best lawyer"?
No. Case studies show dated, query-specific results. We do not sell guaranteed rankings.
Is a pay-per-lead model allowed for lawyers?
That depends on your state. Check your state bar's rules and ethics opinions, and consult ethics counsel, before agreeing to any pay-per-lead marketing arrangement.
What does "qualified" mean for a law firm?
A real person who contacted you about a practice area you take, in an area you serve, with a way to reach them, after spam is removed. You approve each lead.
Can we limit volume?
Yes. If the firm is at capacity, tell us.
Can you use client testimonials on our site?
Only what your state's rules and your clients' consent allow. We will help present them in line with your own compliance review.
